Thornham Harbour at high tide
North Norfolk is an ideal holiday destination whatever your interest. Quiet country lanes make cycling a pleasure and walkers can enjoy the Coastal Path and Peddars Way which pass through the villages of Ringstead and Thornham.
Sailing, golf and bird-watching are all very popular pastimes along the coast and the area is also a popular haunt of artists painting the coastal creeks and huge skies.
There are excellent links golf courses at Hunstanton and Brancaster, and Brancaster Staithe is a great place for dinghy sailing. The area has nature reserves in plenty while the attractions of Holkham Hall, Sandringham and Hunstanton are all close by.
Birdwatchers will head to the RSPB reserve at Titchwell just a couple of miles away, but should not ignore Snettisham for the spectacular high tide wader roost, or the NNT reserve at Holme where anything can turn up.
